One ongoing discussion in our District is the value and emphasis that are placed on the importance and funding of athletics. We recognize the importance of balancing the academic curriculum and programs with the social, emotional, and physical health needs of our students. Over half of our secondary student population participates in interscholastic athletics. It develops not only physical skills but leadership, teamwork, and the potential to have opportunities in post-secondary education they wouldn't have had without athletics. (read more)
