Free School Breakfast and Lunch for ALL– EXTENDED!
We are pleased to announce that USDA has recently extended the Free School Meal Waiver through the end of the 2020/2021 school year! This program allows all children under the age of 19 to be eligible for free breakfast & lunch regardless of household income. This temporary program is funded by the US Department of Agriculture and will expire June 30, 2021.
These free benefits apply to breakfast and lunch served in the buildings and meals picked up for remote learning days.
Bringing a lunch from home? This temporary USD waiver allows students who bring lunch from home the option to supplement their packed lunch with free, healthy choices. Students need to choose fruit, veggie and milk to enjoy with their packed lunch, and it is free.
Second lunches and a la carte items are not included in this free meal program and will be charged as they previously were.
Families still need to complete a new annual Free/Reduced application if they have not yet done so. Once this temporary program ends, student will default back to their previous pricing category. Applications can be processed online at MySchoolApps.com.
