8312 School Attorney
The School Attorney shall be appointed annually by the Board of Education at its annual organizational meeting.
It shall be the duty of the School Attorney to advise the Board of Education on specific legal problems submitted to him or her by the Superintendent of Schools and to make all necessary recommendations. In addition, it is expected that the School Attorney shall, on his or her own initiative, bring to the attention of the Board of Education any information he or she deems important to the operation of the District schools.
The School Attorney shall attend meetings when so requested by the Board of Education and/or Superintendent.
Annual fee mutually agreeable to both parties will be provided.
