Global History and Geography 10^th Grade Mr. Evangelista

Welcome back, I hope that you had a restful summer. This is a Regents level class that studies world history beginning approximately at the Enlightenment. This will be a very rigorous class that will focus on learning new material, as well as reviewing for the Regents Exam.

Responsibilities and Behavior

• Respect – Each person in the class must respect his/her classmates, the teacher, and the classroom. EX. Talking while others are speaking, not belittling each other or their opinions, etc.
• Personal Accountability – You will be held accountable for your own actions or inaction. Work is YOUR responsibility.

• Punctuality – be in your seat and ready to learn when the bell rings. The school lateness policy will be adhered to.
• Preparedness – Bring all of the necessary learning materials everyday.

• Daily Planner for Assignments
• Notebook (for Global only)
• Folder for papers and handouts
• Or a three ring binder
• Writing Implement
• Textbook

Attendance

All work missed because of unexcused absences will be marked as a zero. No exceptions. Work missed for legal absences will need to be made up in a timely fashion. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR FINDING OUT WHAT YOU MISSED WHILE YOU WERE ABSENT. I will NOT hunt you down.

Homework

· You will have regular homework and/or reading assignments.

· All late homework = ZERO.

· Writing Assignments and Projects lose 10 points per day that they are late.
