The Task

 
Your task will be to narrow down the region of Italy that you will focus on for your restaurant menu.  You will gather all of the information needed to convince your partner of the one regional style that you have decided to use for the restaurant.  You will need to research all of the regions and present to your partner the reasons why you have chosen a particular regional style of cooking for your restaurant.  So pack your bags and take your computer to take notes, and when  you return from your "research" vacation you will:
 
 
 
 
  • explain to him/her what is regional Italian cooking
  • present to him/her the region that you have chosen
  • explain why you have chosen the region
  • detail the foods, wines and desserts that are typical of the region
  • this can be presented in a Power Point presentation or on demonstration board
  • you will create a menu for the grand opening of the restaurant
  •  you will also propose a name for the restaurant
  • you will also "cook up" one of the specialties from the menu
