In order for you to accomplish the task the following steps will be taken:
you will be
assigned to teams of 3 students
you will present
a collaborative team presentation to the class
you will participate
equally in all of the assigned activities
you will divide
the 20 regions of Italy among the team members equally
your team
will research ALL regions before narrowing down your choice
you will use
the classroom computers to do the research on the regions that you were
assigned
you will use
the links that are given on the Ciao Time
Links Pageto gather your information
you will have
three
class periods to gather information for your team
you will write
a TYPED summary in English of each of the regions that you have
researched to bring back to your team (What are the important culinary
aspects? and Why is this region important?)
you will hand
in your TYPED research summaries (in your own words) to the teacher
for grading (Date to be assigned)
you must list
the sources of your information
your summaries
will be returned and you will be assigned a date to report back to
your team (1 class period)
your team
will decide on which of the regions will make it to the Final Choice
your team
will begin work on the Presentation and the sample Menu in
class
your Presentation
and Menu MUST be written and presented in Italian
all members
of the team must have an assigned task
your team
will do All work on the classroom computers
your menu
will be created in the classroom on the computers using Microsoft Publisher
your team
will be assigned a date to present the Region and the Menu to
the class
your team
will bring in a "Sample" of one of the specialties from the regional
menu so that the class can taste a typical food from that region
