Thank you for your questions and concerns regarding changes in the administration at Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School.Middle School Assistant Principal Frank Ruolo was appointed Acting Principal at Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School (LCBMS) at the Lakeland Board of Education Meeting on March 1, 2018.We also want to welcome Samantha Shulman as the new Assistant Principal at LCBMS. 

The administrative team at the middle school will be working with central office administrators to ensure continuity and limit disruption to the learning environment at the middle school. Thank you for your continued support.

Due to the closing of schools Wednesday March 21, schools will now be open for students Wednesday, April 4. We apologize for additional inconveniences but we have no ability to change New York State Attendance Regulations.  April 4, 5, 6 and May 29 are now Student Attendance Days. Thank you for your understanding.

The Town of Yorktown Arbor Day event will take place on April 27, 2018, at 4:00 p.m.  The town is conducting their very successful poster contest, which will be the highlight of their ceremony. The event location will be the Patriot Garden behind Town Hall, 363 Underhill Ave.  In case of rain or inclement weather, the ceremony will be held inside at the Town Board Room, in Town Hall.  Poster entries will be displayed inside Yorktown Town Hall, 363 Underhill Avenue for the month of May.  (complete article)

Ms. Reuter's sixth-grade class presented their reading project to parents, students, and Lakeland administrators. The students selected and independently read a book from the library then created a diorama.  The Lakeland community was invited to Breakfast and a Book where students presented their project.

Yearbooks can be purchased at Yearbooks are for sale for $44.08 (tax included) until the end of February, at which point, the price will increase slightly. Hold on to your confirmation as proof of purchase, and in June, you will have a wonderful yearbook to document memories from the middle school.
