Absentee Ballot Information for Budget and Trustee Vote
Absentee ballots are available for the May 16, 2017 Budget and Trustee election.
All requests for applications for absentee ballots should be directed to the District Clerk. The phone number for the District Clerk is 245-1700 ext. 222 or the applications can be requested in person at the Administration Office, 1086 East Main Street, Shrub Oak, NY. The application can be downloaded on this web page below the text.
The application must be completed and signed by the voter and then returned to the District Clerk who will review and verify the information. At that point a ballot, instructions and an “official ballot” envelope with return envelope are mailed or given to the voter applicant. Unless the absentee ballot is mailed to the voter, it must be picked up by the voter.
If the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, the District Clerk must have the completed application at least 7 days prior to the vote. If the voter would like to pick up the ballot they can do so at the Administration Office until the day before the vote.
In order for the absentee ballot to count – it needs to be received by the District Clerk by 5:00 pm on the day of the vote.
