OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY SERVICES

Occupational therapy services are delivered in variety of ways at the elementary school level.

Building Level Service

Building level services are occupational therapy services offered to children with mild difficulties in visual motor, visual spatial, and or fine motor skills. The service can range from once a month or once a week, to twice a week. Sessions are 30 minutes in length. This type of service is not a mandated service and is offered to students on an intervention level. This service is available depending on the number of mandated students there are in the school during the year.

Related Services

Related occupational therapy services are provided to students who have gone through the Committee on Special Education and were identified in needing specific occupational therapy services in order to benefit from the curriculum. Therapy is provided in the areas of visual motor, visual spatial, and fine motor skills. For more information on special education services, please go to the Lakeland
