is going to be a very “egg”citing month in
the classroom. Our chicks eggs arrived on April 30th.
We are learning about the life cycle of a chick and how
a chick grows inside of it’s egg. Most of all,
we are looking forward to Hatching Day which will be
on May 21st. Our hermit crabs will be also arriving soon.
We will be learning about how to take care of the hermit
crabs.
We
have completed our author study on Tomie dePaola. Strega
Nona was a
first grade favorite! We have started a new
author study on Eric Carle. We can’t wait to read
The Very Hungry Caterpillar. We will be learning about
the life cycle of a butterfly.
In Math, we continue to study time. Please practice-telling
time to the hour and half hour with your child.
