May
May is finally here! The fifth graders are ready for the
warm weather and fun activities planned for this month.
The fifth graders are finishing up the D.A.R.E. program
with Officer Finn and will be participating in the graduation
on Friday, May 23rd at
9:00 a.m. at G.W. in the APR-room.
In reading and writing the students are continuing to do
research on their wondering questions and are creating a
featured article based on their question.
In math, we continue to work with algebraic equations, and
in social studies we will be finishing up the unit on government
and moving on to major turning points in the western hemisphere.
As for science, the students are finishing up the unit on
the human body and are going to be working on their science
projects for the Science Expo on May 29th 7:00 p.m. - 8:00
p.m. at G.W. in the APR- room.
Lastly, the students will also be visiting the Middle School
on May 8th.
