Parents must call the nurse at 914- 528-2021 ext. 204 in the event of a student absence, preferably before 9:00 a.m. For your convenience, an answering machine will handle calls as early as 4:00 p.m. the day before. Please follow this policy faithfully as it gives the school an up-to-the-minute watch of absentees with proper parent notification. It would also be helpful if known prolonged absences were also mentioned beforehand. IN ADDITION, New York State Education Law requires that the school have a written excuse for every absence. Please send the excuse with your child the first day he/she returns to school.
