In the Lakeland Central School District we focus on an instructional program that has students learning with computers, rather than from computers. Our goal is to integrate technology into the curriculum to broaden and enhance the learning experience for our students. Technology should be considered as just another tool to help us meet our instructional goals.

We ask you to consider these two questions when incorporating technology into your curriculum:

  • Will this use of technology allow students to do something that they could not do before? or
  • Will this use of technology allow students to do things better than they could do before?

There is a wealth of resources available for educators today. Many more online resources can be found on the district's Instructional Technology portion of the Lakeland website, Ed.tech@lake.You may also sign up to receive a newsletter, published bi-weekly, with reviews of valuable online resources for educators. Drop an email to Linda Brandon at lbrandon@lakelandschools.org to sign up for this newsletter.
