Initial Assignment

Authors often get ideas for their fictional writing from their personal experiences. After listening to the book excerpt and the biography/interview of the author, explain in writing how the author used personal experiences in his/her fictional writing.

In your answer be sure to include:

• the title and author of the book
• specific examples from the biography or interview that relate to the book
• explain how the author used personal experiences in his/her fictional writing
