Motivation: For students who like adult feedback and positive reinforcement, technology offers many options. Here are some examples:

  • SMART Notebook Software has many opportunities to create self correcting materials that prompt the student when correct or incorrect. Here is an example file.
  • Flashcard Machine: This free site allows you to create flashcards that can be completed on the computer
  • Quia (a subscription site) allows you to create self-correcting quizzes, activities and games (example)
  • Academic Skill Builder - online games/quizzes that provide feedback for students

  • iGoogle - personalized start page that is customizable and can include tools such as calendar, dictionary, etc.. Requires google account (free)
