Dear Parents/ Guardians;

I hope the summer months are treating you well. We look forward to welcoming your child to our Universal Pre-K (UPK) program at Lakeland High School and Walter Panas High School this coming September.

As promised, pre-school teachers will be in their classrooms in August, so you will have a chance to visit with your child before the first day of school. The schedule at each of the buildings will be as follows:

• Walter Panas High School UPK Program Teacher: Mrs. Pezzullo will be at the UPK site on August 28 & August 29 from 9:30 to 12:00.
• Lakeland High School UPK Program Teacher: Ms. Stewart will be at the UPK site on August 28 & August 29 from 9:30 to 12:00.

School starts on September 3rd this year. As there is a 180-day requirement for the UPK program, your child will begin classes on that first day.  You will receive specific information about the beginning of school directly from your child’s teacher shortly. On the first day, parents will accompany students to class and will stay about an hour. Beginning the second day there will be a full program planned.

At our last meeting I was asked to provide class profile information. The classes for the fall are as follows:
